The restroom is located on the island of Murano (foundation Serenella), located close to the public transport stop of Murano Colonna, in a small building used exclusively for this purpose.

The island of Murano, since 1295, has hosted Venetian glasswork, that was moved here for safety reasons since the furnaces have been responsible for many disastrous fires, and which are well known today for their blown glass works. Here it is possible to visit the factories with their glass masters and the Giustinian palace, seat of the glass museum.
It is compulsory to visit the cathedral of the Saints Maria and Donato, a palazzo da Mula (the palace of Mula, nowadays municipal seat) and the church of San Pietro Martire.
